jejuferries.com is an independent comparison site for the ferries between the South Korean mainland and Jeju Island. Three corridors carry the year-round traffic: Wando with Hanil Express, Mokpo with Seaworld Express Ferry and Nokdong in Goheung county with Namhae Gosok Ferry. All of them are car ferries with reserved seating or cabins. Seaworld Express Ferry also operates the fast catamaran from Jindo. The departure ports lie on the south coast in South Jeolla province, and none of them is a large city.

Jeju has an airport and cheap domestic flights, so the ship has to earn its place. It earns it with a vehicle, a motorbike, a bicycle, a pet or luggage that no cabin bag will hold. From there the planning turns practical, and the sea leg is rarely the hard part: reaching Wando, Mokpo or Nokdong from Seoul or Busan takes a train or a long-distance bus, which belongs in the schedule just as much as the sailing does. We also keep track of which corridors still exist. Busan lost its Jeju ferry in December 2022 and Yeosu in December 2024, and neither route has found a successor.

jejuferries.com is an independent guide and not the website of Hanil Express, Seaworld Express Ferry or Namhae Gosok Ferry. It is not a Jeju travel guide either: sights on the island, hotels, flights, car rental and what to do once you have landed are outside what we cover. Ticketing is not ours. The corridors in the international booking systems run through our partner Direct Ferries under their prices, availability and terms, and the Jindo catamaran is sold by Seaworld Express Ferry on its own channels.
