Getting to Mokpo and the two piers
Mokpo is the one Jeju ferry port with a proper rail link: the KTX from Seoul via Gwangju ends at Mokpo station, and from there it is a short taxi ride to the port. Mind that Seaworld uses two piers. The international passenger terminal on the harbour front is the main departure point; the Queen Jenuvia 2 sails from the Samhak pier, about a kilometre east. The pier is printed on the ticket, and the Samhak departure appears as its own entry in the timetable.
Check-in and boarding
Check-in opens at the terminal counters well before departure; online bookings are collected with the booking code. Every passenger passes an ID check at boarding, passport or Korean residence card, and the name must match the ticket. For the 01:00 night ship, check-in runs late in the evening; the terminal area is quiet then, so plan the taxi rather than counting on finding one.
On board
The Queen Jenuvia, Queen Jenuvia 2 and Queen Mary are the closest thing Korean coastal shipping has to cruise ferries: cabin decks from shared economy rooms and capsule bunks up to suites, family rooms, dedicated pet cabins, restaurants, cafes and open decks. On the day crossing the lounges and decks make the four and a half hours pass easily; on the night ship a bunk turns the crossing into usable sleep.
Vehicle, bike and on foot
All ships carry cars, motorbikes and bicycles, with fares by vehicle class and mandatory lashing on the vehicle deck. The generous decks make Mokpo the corridor of choice for campervans and trailers, but space still sells out around Korean holidays, so book the vehicle slot early. Foot passengers travel easiest here thanks to the KTX link on the mainland side and Jeju City's buses and taxis at the arrival terminal.
Arrival on Jeju and onward travel
The ships dock at Jeju City port on the island's north coast. The terminal is a short taxi ride from central Jeju City and the intercity bus terminal, from where lines reach the whole island. Arriving with the night ship puts you on the road at breakfast time, a full day ahead of the first flights.

Fares are per person by cabin class, from economy floor space to suites, with vehicles priced by class on top; a fuel surcharge applies and holiday periods carry a premium.
