Jeju Ferries

Jeju ferry timetable

The corridors keep different rhythms: Wando sails up to three times a day, Mokpo has a night ship at 01:00 every day plus a morning ship listed under Samhak, and Nokdong runs one morning sailing with a return from Jeju at 16:30. All of them shift with seasons, ship rotations and weather. Pick a date and port pair to see the actual departures with operator and arrival time.

Date

Four mainland ports

Jeju lies off the southern coast of South Korea, and the timetable above brings together the crossings from the mainland. Mokpo and Wando in South Jeolla are the main gateways, and both are reachable from Seoul by high-speed rail and a connecting bus.

Nokdong further east is the third port, with one morning sailing a day; Samhak is the fourth, the Mokpo pier of the morning ship. Between them they spread the departures across the day, so the choice usually comes down to how you reach the port rather than to the sailing itself.

What to watch out for in the timetable

Departures on this coast change with the season and the day of the week, and not every port is served every day. An empty table is therefore a statement about your date, not about the route; try a neighbouring day before you rule a port out.

Weather matters more here than on most routes. Typhoon season in late summer and strong winds in winter can cancel sailings at short notice, so leave a buffer before any onward connection on the island.

All four car ferry corridors carry vehicles, but the deck slot is booked separately from the passenger fare and sells out first; check that your ticket includes it.

FAQ timetable

FAQ

Questions about reading the Jeju timetable.

How close to departure should I check the timetable? +

Always on the day of travel, even in good weather. Korean coastal schedules move with ship inspections, holiday rotations and, above all, the sea state; wind and swell cancel sailings at short notice. The timetable above shows what is actually scheduled for your date.

What happens when a sailing is cancelled? +

Most cancellations come from weather. If your sailing is cancelled, the operator rebooks or refunds; queues at the counter are long on such days, and the next confirmed sailings fill quickly. When a typhoon is announced, whole days go, so build a buffer before any onward flight.

Why is the Jindo catamaran not in this timetable? +

The fast catamaran from Jindo cannot be booked through this site; it is sold only by its operator and through Korean domestic booking systems, so it has no booking link here. Its timetable is the most weather sensitive of all the Jeju links, so confirm it on the day with the operator, Seaworld Express Ferry.

Are there days without sailings? +

The Nokdong ship pauses on set days, usually the first, third and fifth Sunday for the outbound leg and the matching Saturdays for the return from Jeju. Mokpo departures also shift when one of the ships goes into its scheduled inspection period. The date search above reflects those gaps.
